JUST A DREAM
I'm going to shed my earthly clothes,
And don my
robes of white.
I'm leaving for my other home,
A
place where there's no night.
My silver cord will dissapate,
A guide will lead me on.
I'll see a light just up ahead,
It's bright and very stong.
I won't see my Savior yet,
I'll have a way to go.
But I can sense that He is near,
My spirit has to grow.
I'm seated in a room to wait,
A sort of movie room, you see.>
There I'll see a story told,
Of a life that once was me.
I will hear my Savior's voice,
He asks me what I've done?
I won't have to think awhile,
If I've offended anyone.
My life will flash before my eyes,
Oh MY! How very quick.
Did I help that poor old soul,
When she was very sick?
I see my life in backward scenes,
From now to when I was new.
I see myself in a different light,
Lord I'm glad that I chose You.
Yes, I called that girl a tramp,
I see that I was wrong.
I now see that she was innocent,
Her spirits very strong.
Lord, I did a lot of good,
There's lots that I recall.
Yes Lord, I know I shouldn't count,
The deeds I did at all.
Why can't I see Your face, oh Lord?
I feel Your're presence near.
My guide comes in and tells me that,
It's just a dream my dear.
I rub my eyes and come awake,
To see that I was sleeping.
My pillow is so very wet,
I must have been a weeping.
I also think I had a glimpse,
Of what I might go through.
Thank You Lord, for a second chance,
To live my life for You.
